Where It All Began

Born and raised in the picturesque village of Batad, Banaue, Ifugao, on August 11, 1976, Orlando Humin Addug, fondly known as “Orlan”, grew up surrounded by family, culture, and community. He is the fourth child of Pedro Pah-e Addug Sr., a retired District Supervisor, and Mirza Illag Humin, who faithfully served as Barangay Captain of Batad for several years. He shared his childhood with his siblings: Allan (+), Pedro Jr., Rolando, Felix, Fredelyne, Romir, and Dante (+).

Growing up in Batad instilled in him the values of resilience, responsibility, and service. Inspired by his parents’ dedication to both family and community, Orlan developed a strong sense of leadership and public duty principles that would later guide his journey in public service.

Education and Lifelong Learning

Orlando completed his elementary education at Batad Elementary School and his secondary education at Immaculate Conception School in Banaue. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and Good Governance from Cagayan State University.

Committed to continuous learning, he also completed the Satoyama Meister Training Program at Ifugao State University, further strengthening his skills in sustainable development, business management, and community leadership.

From Tourism to Public Service

Before entering public office, Orlando worked as a tourist guide, tour organizer, and driver in the municipality Banaue and other Reigons, and helping visitors experience the beauty of the world-renowned Ifugao Rice Terraces, and other tourisgt destination around reigion .

His passion for serving others eventually led him into public service, where he dedicated himself to community development and local governance.

A Journey of Leadership

Orlando's public service career began as a Barangay Kagawad of Batad from 2013 to 2016. He then served as a Sangguniang Bayan Member of Banaue from 2016 to 2019.

In 2019, he was elected as a Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member of Ifugao, a position he continues to hold today. Widely known as "BM OHA," he has advanced programs and policies that promote good governance, infrastructure development, cultural preservation, tourism, healthcare, and environmental protection.

Serving Ifugao Today

As a Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member, SP Orlando H. Addug remains steadfast in his commitment to serving the people of Ifugao with integrity, dedication, and purpose. Through responsive legislation and people-centered governance, he continues to drive initiatives that promote sustainable development, preserve cultural heritage, and enhance the overall welfare of the people of Ifugao.
